Electrical Gluttony. Water Consumption. Noise Pollution. Ground Vibration. Powerline Harmonics. Incessant Toxic Badness.
10+part sourced Series deeply explores the Many Serious Ill-Effects of Datacenters.
This is not us merely saying these things are or may be so; instead, every statement is sourced by scientific studies, published experiences, harmed victims. Intelligence requires learning from own mistakes. Wisdom involves learning from others’ mistakes.
“A 2026 power-engineering study found that hyperscale data centers behave not merely as electrical loads, but as vast power-electronics systems whose rapidly fluctuating server demands can excite grid oscillations and propagate disturbances across interconnected networks. Far from a fringe “dirty electricity” claim, the research suggests data centers may interact with the power grid in ways fundamentally different from traditional industrial facilities, raising serious new concerns about resonance, stability, reliability.”
Able to provide and remotely operate an anonymous, tiny seismic recording device, I have been emailing businesses and residents near the proposed Dickerson Datacenter site in Montgomery County, Maryland, asking if they would host the device at zero cost, ultimately for their health and well-being.
Seismic record of before/after ground shaking and noise pollution will be vital in blocking, revoking Datacenters in Dickerson and elsewhere in the future.
For whatever reasons, I have received zero responses. Maybe their spam filter caught it; maybe they unknowingly deleted it; maybe whatever. I’ll keep emailing, updating this list, and holding open the request/offer for anyone who lives or operates a business nearby. Having before/after seismic record is vital.
List of nearby resident businesses contacted to-date
These are companies and persons who will most likely be directly impacted by the massive, dangerous Datacenter Campus in Dickerson. You’d think they’d already be alarmed, ‘on-top of it’, unifying, resisting, but it does not appear so. Email corrections / updates and they will be posted here immediately.

Hi, I live in Darnestown and I’m worried because I foresee Great Harm looming via the proposed massive Datacenter Complex at Dickerson Power Plant.
I want to provide and run a tiny, practically invisible and totally anonymous seismometer on your property that will record the seismic ground vibration before and after the Datacenter installation/operation.
This would provide primary evidence of one important though little-known ill-effect of Datacenters, constant ground vibration.
Would you be interested? Please reply via email info@darnestown.net.
A sooner start of data collection will give greater impact to the expected whopping increase in local ground vibration due to the Datacenters.
